Welcome Coach Courtney!
I am pleased to announce that Courtney Zuendel has joined our team. Courtney has coached with me for several years – both at Ohio Premier Futbol Club and at Magnificat High School. Courtney is joining as Director of Player Development. She will be responsible for helping me with curriculum development and will coach a variety of field training classes.
Courtney understands the needs of young athletes today. As a result, she helps to develop drills and practices that help athletes go to the next level of play. Her approach and coaching style is similar to mine – engaging, positive, high-energy, and great intensity. She understands the key principles of play.
Courtney Zuendel graduated from Miami University in 2015 with a degree in Middle Childhood Education while playing varsity soccer. As the team's center defender, Courtney was a part of the 2012 MAC championship team that advanced to the second round of the NCAA tournament after upsetting Tennessee in the first round. Throughout her tenure at Miami, Courtney was named to First-Team all MAC honors, MAC all-tournament team, and OCSA Academic All-Ohio. She also was named team captain for the 2013 and 2014 seasons.
After graduating from Miami, Courtney coached club soccer at OPFC for three years, and completed her second year of coaching at Magnificat High School as the team's JVA coach. Courtney graduated high school from Lutheran West where she was a three-time team captain and received First-Team All-Ohio and Academic All-Ohio honors in her senior year.
Join me in welcoming Coach Courtney!
