Excel Soccer will welcome visiting coaches and support coaches on a regular basis.
The primary field coach for Next Level is Coach Tibi. Coach Tibi is currently the Head Soccer Coach at Magnificat High School, division 1. Coach Tibi has an extensive history of playing and coaching soccer. He has spent the past twelve years coaching girls’ varsity including Laurel School and Solon High School and premier club soccer, Cleveland Select and Ohio Premier Soccer Club. Coach Tibi holds a United States Soccer Federation “C” License.
Born and raised in Budapest, Hungary, Coach Tibi has been playing soccer since he was eight years old. Beginning is 1986, he played professional soccer for eight years for BP Volan SC. He was also a member of the Youth National Budapest team competing against AC Milan Anderlecht, Stuttgart, 1 FC Koln, Torino, Gent, St Etienne, Montpellier, etcetera. After 1991, he played in various leagues until 1994 when he immigrated to Cleveland, Ohio.
Coach Courtney Zanotti Zuendel
Courtney Zuendel graduated from Miami University in 2015 with a degree in Middle Childhood Education while playing varsity soccer. As the team's center defender, Courtney was a part of the 2012 MAC championship team that advanced to the second round of the NCAA tournament after upsetting Tennessee in the first round. Throughout her tenure at Miami, Courtney was named to First-Team all MAC honors, MAC all-tournament team, and OCSA Academic All-Ohio. She also was named team captain for the 2013 and 2014 seasons. After graduating from Miami, Courtney coached club soccer at OPFC for three years, and currently is entering her second year of coaching at Magnificat High School as the team's JVA coach. Courtney graduated high school from Lutheran West where she was a three-time team captain and received First-Team All-Ohio and Academic All-Ohio honors in her senior year.
Coach Matt Tainer
Matt Tainer has been coaching soccer since graduating from the University of Mount Union in 2012. At Mount Union he was a member of the men’s soccer team all four years. After graduation he started his coaching career as the Junior Varsity assistant at Notre Dame Cathedral Latin for their Women’s Soccer program. He then spent four years at Gilmour Academy as the Head Junior Varsity coach for two years, followed by two years as the Varsity Assistant. While at Gilmour Academy he was the Varsity Assistant for the Women’s State Championship team of 2016. He has now been named the Head Coach for the Notre Dame Cathedral Latin Women’s Soccer team. Matt has been a club coach since 2013 and is currently coaching for Cleveland Cobras.
